Instructions

Sew all cable rows first, then two-step trellis rows. Next, sew five-step trellis rows and add all three cable stitches. Lastly add satin stitch and trellis hearts. Roses have center bullions of six wraps (two strands) in red, three middle bullions of eight wraps (pink), four outer bullions of fifteen wraps (pink). Repeat these sections to fill depth of smocking. The design is enclosed with two rows of cable in gold. If more space is needed, add another cable on either side of the section with the roses.
